Darius Dinero is a popular YouTuber and TikToker who shares situational skits, gaming content, challenges, and more. Much of his situational content focuses on family life. The 25-year-old started creating content during his freshman year of college when he would post skits on Twitter. Darius missed out on the Vine wave, but those styles of videos are his favorite. Darius consistently put out content, which paid off because his videos started taking off during his senior year of college. The comedian went from around 15,000 followers to 30,000 and then 100,000 followers. Today, Darius has 1.3 million subscribers on YouTube. He is on a mission to “make the whole world laugh,” as his YouTube bio states.

Darius’ rise to fame

Darius credits his rise to fame to consistency. Even when he was at a stall and not gaining followers, he continued to put out content.

During the pandemic, a meme he created went viral and gained him thousands of followers. Darius’ TikTok account took off before his YouTube channel did, as he was constantly putting out short clips on TikTok and seeing some success.

Darius recently told Tubefilter that consistency allowed him to see major audience growth. He said he didn’t know what to do the first time he went viral, but since then, he’s learned to ride the wave.

His social media strategy

The content creator says that because he posts long-form content on YouTube, there isn’t always a short piece he can use for YouTube Shorts, Instagram Reels, or TikTok, so he will create something new just for those short-form video platforms. He says it’s all about testing what works for the different platforms.

Darius makes it a goal to post at least four times per week. The creator has many ideas written down that he will use to create short videos. He comes up with his best ideas while in the shower or going back to his older videos that took off.

Right now, he doesn’t have a set strategy for creating his content, as he’s doing everything himself — planning, shooting, and editing. He eventually wants to move to Los Angeles and connect with other creators and possibly grow a team so that he has help.

Plans for growth

In addition to moving to Los Angeles to build a team and create better content, Darius’ plans for growth include doing collaborations, growing his Instagram account, and continuing to be consistent with putting out quality content. The video creator says he has made it a goal to be active on all social media platforms while working hard not to box himself in. He’d like to try new ideas even if he fails.

Final thoughts

While interviewing with Tubefilter, Darius shared that even though he recently hit a million subscribers on YouTube, he feels there’s always another milestone for him to reach. He said his aim now is for 2, 3, and eventually 4 million subscribers. Darius said to appreciate every milestone you hit because you’ll never hit it again.
