Mr. Beast, whose real name is Jimmy Donaldson, is one of YouTube’s highest-paid earners. The famous creator has 114 million followers on his main channel and is most known for his elaborate videos giving away large sums of cash. Mr. Beast got his start back in 2012 when he would record videos from his bedroom. As an amateur creator, he would aim tirelessly to put out content that had the potential to go viral. He once posted a video of himself counting to 100,000, which took him 44 hours. That was one of his first viral videos, and that’s when his channel started to take off. One of his most popular videos is when he recreated “Willy Wonka and the Chocolate Factory” for fans to participate in a series of challenges to win $500,000. Since the rise in success of his channel, the 24-year-old creator, entrepreneur, and philanthropist has hired many of his childhood friends to help him grow. He currently has around 60 people on his team.

Mr. Beast’s brand

In addition to his main channel, Mr. Beast also runs several other YouTube channels, including Beast Reacts, MrBeast Gaming, MrBeast Shorts, and a philanthropy channel.

In December 2020, the serial entrepreneur opened up a virtual restaurant called MrBeast Burger. He started with 300 locations in the United States, but since then, it has grown to 1000 locations worldwide. Burgers have proven very lucrative for MrBeast, as he’s turning a profit of $24,000 daily, which amounts to a massive $720,000 monthly.

In January 2022, Mr. Beast founded MrBeast Bars under a novel food company named Feastables, and the company’s first product was a line of chocolate bars. He launched the bars in original, almond & quinoa crunch.

Spendings

In September 2022, Mr. Beast was a guest on the Iced Coffee Hour Podcast, where host Graham Stephan asked the creator for a breakdown of his monthly spendings on his channels and other endeavors.

Mr. Beast shared that across all his YouTube channels, including marketing for his chocolate bars and the burger restaurant chain he owns, he spends between seven and eight million dollars per month.

He also shared that his spending is managed by an accounting team, who approve his spending plans for each new video that he puts out.

The YouTuber shared that he can go all out in his videos because he “reinvests” income generated from ad revenue and views on his existing videos, adding that he’s not concerned about his own financial future.

“The videos get views even if I don’t upload, so if I really wanted to, I could just live off of the money that the views made,” he shared on the podcast.

Because Mr. Beast believes in reinvesting every single dollar back into his channels, he’s been credited with helping to start a new genre of expensive stunt content on YouTube in which creators pull off elaborate challenges and large-scale sponsored giveaways.

Other YouTubers, such as Azzyland and MindofRez, have also taken Mr. Beast’s ideas and added their own twist to them.

This is exactly what Mr. Beast set out to do. His mission is to change the world; one vide video at a time.
